Who are we?
Hello, we are sisters, Kate and Sarah.
Our story starts back in 2016, myself and my family were living in Essex, we all had busy lives & were working long hours. All of us, (almost at the same time) felt that it was time for a change. The area we lived in and once loved, had changed beyond recognition so we made the decision that city life was no longer for us. Finding a new home was not going to be easy for us as we were relocating the whole family (6 humans, 4 cats and a dog!) The hunt was on!
After a lot of searching & 4 counties later, we knew Somerset was the place for us. Many late night trips on a Friday ensued, travelling across the county looking for the perfect place to call home. In January 2017 we stumbled upon Pitts Farm after a viewing for another property was cancelled. Immediately, we saw its potential – a fabulous countryside plot with beautiful views, space and a pre-existing business! We knew then we’d found our new home. We moved in May 2017 and haven’t looked back!
What are our plans for the future?
We have been fortunate since owning Pitts Farm, that we haven’t needed to make any big changes to the cottages, but looking ahead we will be concentrating on our environmental ethos and doing what we can to make them more environmentally friendly, sustainable and efficient.
New for next year: A dog friendly lodge is being added to our accommodation and will be welcoming guests soon.
