Bossington Beach, a pebble expanse at Porlock Bay’s east end, is accessible via a 2.5-mile walk from Bossington village. The beach’s shingle barrier protects marshland teeming with rare wildlife, and remnants of WWII, including pillboxes and a ruined control centre, dot the landscape. A walk along the shingle leads to old coastguard lookout below a rocky outcrop.
