Glenthorne beach is a secluded, north-facing beach, nestled beneath dramatic cliffs, featuring a mix of rocks and pebbles. A small waterfall, intriguing caves, historic lime kiln, and the remnants of a boathouse add to its unique character. Access is via two well-marked, steep paths descending 1060 feet through wooded cliffs from the free County Gate car park on the A39. This car park, equipped with toilets and a bus stop, offers panoramic views of Exmoor to the south and the Bristol Channel to the north, perched high above the East Lyn river valley.
