Yeovil’s history is rich, with its origins dating back to Anglo-Saxon times, and it’s mentioned in the Domesday Book. The town flourished through industries like making helicopters & glove-making, earning its football club, Yeovil Town, the nickname “The Glovers.” Yeovil Town’s history is filled with moments of glory, especially in the FA Cup, where they have gained a reputation as “Giant killers”.
Ninesprings Country Park, on the southern edge of Yeovil, provides a beautiful natural space with wooded valleys and streams, ideal for walking, picnicking, and enjoying the outdoors.
The town centre is home to many shops, bars, restaurants, cinema and bowling alley.
